How to Report Unlawful Sales


While manufacturers, wholesalers, re-packagers, and pharmacists are in the best position to detect counterfeit drugs, healthcare professionals and consumers can be helpful informers. If you notice any inconsistencies with your medication or suspect a pharmacy of selling illegitimate drugs you should report the suspected counterfeit drugs to the pharmacist who sold you the medication (there may have been a genuine change in the manufacturing of the drug altogether). You can also report to the FDA by calling Medwatch at 1-800-332-1088 or go online to fill out a form:
